Birth of the internet started as the transferring of data by USA governments. In 1983 the internet was officially born. As a Communication Procedure “Transfer Control Protocol/internetwork Protocol (TCP/IP). 1990 it was on the huge progression with the development of the worldwide web (WWW). After that internet companies like eBay, Amazon, Google, pay pal, Hotmail and others opened the door.

Data and Facts

As the development of the internet took greater shape until today there are 7.75 billion people in the world. out of which there are 1 billion active users using the internet in the morning time Gmail claims to have. There are 5.19 billion unique mobile users, 4.54 billion internet users, and 3.90 billion active social media users.

When we say social media it predominated by Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, FB messenger, Instagram, and others. Where Facebook holds 2,449 million active users followed by 2000 by YouTube and 1600 WhatsApp.

Digital Device Use

The continuous growth of the internet has brought massive changes to the device where it is being used. The consumer can get access through the internet from mobile, laptop, desktop, iPad, Smart Tv, Smartwatch. which is being dominated by mainly mobile users. with its constant development on features and design mobile phones is capturing the largest market with 5.19 billion mobile users.

CURRENT TRENDS | SEARCH INFORMATION

As we have come up to the fact that the internet and its use have surrounded the people's lives. In order to use products and services they don't need to stand in the queue or travel to get their job done on one click or touch, they can enjoy their freedom. People are awarded so much choice whether it's shopping, traveling, watching a movie, listening to music, food, gaming, learning, and others. people can search for any information on the internet with a site like Google which is a platform for people to search for information where there are 5.4 billion searches each day.

Another source of information is Facebook. which was introduced as a connecting tool between friends and family. Due to its popularity has been always modified and redeveloped nearly 1.5 billion user’s logins into Facebook. Now, it has been a big platform for business, to get reviews, shop, promote business, find jobs, and others.

YouTube is another tool where people engage themself to search for information which is a video-based site. where there are 2 billion logged-in monthly users. people search this site to watch movies, music videos, DIY videos, comedy shows, recipes, and many more. This site is a medium for many people to earn.

CONCLUSION

To conclude everything that I’ve discussed today, improvement in technology and its constant development has had an impact on consumer life in terms of everything we do, the way we work, communicated, do our shopping get entertained, search for information.

For the people around the world, having an internet connection is no longer just a requirement it’s a necessity.
